Calcareous Wine Tasting
Today’s wine tasting will take us up to Calcareous Vineyard. We have ridden by Calcareous several times each year while climbing or enjoying the winding descent of one of our favorite roads – Peachy Canyon. Calcareous is known for some of their traditional Rhone-style Reds wines and a phenomenal view from their perch up on the elevated limestone plateau along Peachy. A few of us have visited Calcareous on our own over the years and this will be the first time we’ve organized a formal tasting for the group. We look forward to making new friends at Calcareous late afternoon today.
The tasting will begin at 3:45pm promptly in order to have a leisurely tasting before they close at 5pm. Please allow a little extra drive time given we’ll need to head up the canyon road and watch out for any late afternoon cyclists. Calcareous Vineyards is located at 3430 Peachy Canyon Rd, Paso Robles, CA 93446. Google maps says about 17 minutes – allow a few extra minutes just in case and feel free to car pool.
