Bring Your Own Dinner

In 2022 (the first year back to Paso after the Pandemic) on the final Friday night “Dinner on Your Own”, a small group decided to eat outdoors and just walk across the street to grab some take-out food, gathering for a final evening on the lawn at the Adelaide. It was a lovely way to connect and say farewell to yet another special year in Paso before the next day’s busy morning of packing and departing for a final Peachy Canyon ride. We all decided that we should try it again the following year and “send the memo out” to everyone and see what happens. Well, it stuck! “Bring Your Own Dinner” is now permanently on the calendar for the Friday night before our final ride on Saturday.

So dinner tonight is “Bring Your Own Dinner”. Consider grabbing some take-out, calling UberEats or DoorDash, ordering a pizza for delivery, or some of us enjoy picking up some food at the grocery store to cook on one of the grills on the lawn. Last year they had a brand new one so hopefully it’s still in good condition. This is a casual unorganized event, so there is no official start time, and as usual, bring your own beverages in addition to your own dinner.

We can relax and reminisce about the week and past years, and we can offer the Organizers suggestions for future years.
